We’re proud to announce the launch of skarpdig.nu — a brand-new site for the endurance team that takes long marches with heavy packs more seriously than most. Designed and built from the ground up by Bridgehead Consulting — no off-the-shelf CMS, no template, no compromises.

The site brings together everything the team has done and everything that’s coming: completed events with maps, elevation profiles and photo galleries, upcoming challenges, and personal training mileage year by year for each member. The visual style — stencil typography, dark base, gold accents — shifts subtly with the seasons: snow in winter, rain when the weather turns, fireworks on milestones.

Behind the public face is a custom-built CMS. Members sign in with their existing account, log training in seconds via a personal shortcut, and see their kilometres and streaks. Admins control every text, image and feature without writing code, and follow an anonymised traffic dashboard with weekly, monthly and yearly trends.

Engineering highlights

Every line was written for this project — no generic platform underneath, just a purpose-built stack on a modern serverless cloud with a fully typed codebase. Invite-only login federated to a major identity provider; no passwords stored on the site. A custom image pipeline keeps the home page under 400 KB despite carrying a dozen activities with full team data. Bilingual (Swedish and English), running in a Swedish data centre with managed TLS, zero-downtime deployments, automatic backups, and an in-house privacy-first analytics layer — no raw IPs, no third-party trackers.
